1:250 000 and 1:50 000 Scale Topographical Maps

NTS maps are produced by the Canadian government and are available in scales of 1:50 000 and 1:250 000

The maps are available on regular paper or tyvek (a rip-proof and water-resistant paper that folds easily and can be written on).

A 1:50 000 scale map covers approximately 21 miles by 17 miles and is ideal for hiking and exploring; clearly showing all the elevation features as well as whether an area is treed or not, wetlands and all the watershed information.

A 1:250 000 scale map covers approximately 84 miles by 69 miles and is excellent for planning and ascertaining access routes into your desired area of interest.

Use the zoom tool to determine the map number you need (e.g. 93G or 93G/1). Please see the instructions in the map zoom box for determining the correct map number.
